This twelve part HBO mini-series tells the story of the United States' space program, from its beginnings in 1961 to the final moon mission in 1972. Tom Hanks served as Executive Producer and introduced each segment.

We are expecting practically identical cast to return in the 2 season. Tom Hanks will return as Host alongside Ben Marley (Roger Chaffee). In addition, Cary Elwes as Michael Collins, Joe Spano as George Mueller, George Newbern (Stu Roosa), Dave Foley as Alan Bean, actor Peter Scolari as Pete Conrad, Alan Shepard role will play a Ted Levine, Jan Armstrong role will play a Ann Cusack and Edgar Mitchell will be played Gary Cole.
